‘Food is Fuel’ Competition

This just in from Simon Kennett at GW:

‘Food is Fuel’ Competition

Summer is here (or lurking nearby) so the Wellington Cycling and Walking Journey Planner is celebrating with a ‘Food is Fuel’ competition. Fuel up on some fine food and enjoy a walk or cycle to the waterfront this summer.
Simply use the journey planner to plan one of your favourite summer walks, runs or rides and send us the journey link using the planner’s Feedback function. We’ll make a random draw from the entries on the following dates:

Monday the 10th December – Prize: $50 Wharewaka café voucher
Monday the 17th December – Prize: $80 Wharewaka café voucher
Monday the 24th December – Prize: $120 Wharewaka café voucher
Feel free to get a group of friends all entering – if any of you win, you can all share a fine afternoon tea or lunch together. Once you’ve refuelled, enjoy a walk along Wellington’s stunning waterfront or up onto Mount Victoria.
Where’s the Wharewaka Café? http://tinyurl.com/WharewakaLimited to one entry per person, each week. Entries close at noon on the day of the prize draw. The competition is not open to Wellington Regional Council employees.

After a query from David Laing I thought I’d make it a bit clearer – when you click on the ‘Contact & Feedback’ tab on the journey planner, a link for your particular journey is automatically attached. All you need to do is type ‘Competition entry’ and hit ‘Send’.

Having just reviewed the number of entries I can say your chances of winning the prize draw are about a million times greater than winning Lotto.

Nicki Wilford won the first week’s prize draw. Now we ramp up to an $80 Karaka Cafe voucher for the week through to noon on Monday the 17th Dec.

Plan a nice ride or walk on http://www.journeyplanner.org.nz and send it thru via the Feedback tab to go into the draw (your trip’s details will be attached automatically when you enter ‘Prize Draw’ in the feedback field – easy as!).

Don’t forget to ask the friends you’d like to share the prize with to enter too.
