What a fabulous night we all had at “Be Seen In Style” last week.. and now that we’re decked out with great lights, reflectors, warm spring gear and are ready to ride our way around town, it’s pretty much the perfect time to learn about what exactly are our Rights and Responsibilities as a road user! If you happened to miss out on the first one of these sessions in July, we decided to host another one just in time for those longer, lovely summery evenings. So come along to Ti Kouka (the old Katipo cafe on Willis Street) at 6pm this Thurday, 8 September where our road-savvy guru Marilyn Northcotte will answer all your tricky questions — and the all the ones you didn’t know to ask! Send us an email with “I wanna get smart on my road rights” in the subject and we’ll reserve you a spot.
And then when you’re all in-the-know about whatcha can and shouldn’t do on the road, we’ve got a Street Skills Workshop to hone those handle-bar handling abilities! Mark your calendars for Saturday, 1st October for a beginner’s Street Skills session. Send us an email with “Skill me up!” in the subject to get your spot – get in quick as these are specialised workshops with only 6 places to ensure you get individual attention and get the most bang for your buck – speaking of which, these are a steal at only $20 (with Wellington City Council subsidising the rest) and a highly experienced Frocktastic trainer!
.. and more?? Yes MORE! Wheel Stylish, the annual Frocks On Bikes fashion show is returning in FrOcktober! Get out your coloured pen and scribble Saturday, 22nd FrOcktober as a date you will not want to miss. Be dazzled by local women, in designer local fashion, vintage wear, casual yet classy street wear, haut couture.. a bit of blimmin’ everything really. The wheels are in motion and if you’ve got some time and some enthusiasm, we’d love to have your help to bring this event to the hilt! Get in touch!
See you on the street!
