Whoa. Um. This bike share project in Hangzhou, China currently has more than 50,000 bikes available to the public at the rental rate of NOTHING for the first hour and only 1-3 renminbi for the hours thereafter.
Check out how totally rational everyone is about the bike. It’s almost like they’d like to say, “well, duh, the bike is easy.” And maybe that’s because the system appears to be pretty rational. Transfers at public transit, no helmets required, seats available for kids, baskets for everyone. I mean, duh.
